Ambassadors
Our ambassadors work alongside our Board and Leadership Team to promote the work of Southside Partnership. In particular, our ambassadors:
- Support consultation with our customers and involve themselves in project and focus groups
- Provide training to staff and customers
- Act as the public face of Southside and attend a number of public events as representatives of Southside
- Act as a role model for other customers
- Assist in the recruitment of other ambassadors
INTRODUCING OUR AMBASSADORS
Nash Momori, Ambassador Mentor

"I joined Southside Partnership as a Peer Volunteer and did this for six months before becoming a part time Criminal Justice Link Worker. My role now includes being the Ambassador Mentor for Harry, Jason and Sandra. I support them to access training and help organise day to day engagements with services for them."
"I am really enjoying the role because I like being able to help others benefit from the wonderful services and support that Southside provides and working with Harry, Sandra and Jason is a pleasure. I enjoy the challenges that I face for example facilitating the group, meeting challenging deadlines and juggling lots of appointments."
"Southside keeps me busy because as well as my roles as Link Worker and Ambassador I have completed courses including becoming a Mental Health Trainer, NVQ Level 3 Advice and Guidance and Service Users Needs In Development and Adult Learning (SUNDIAL)."
"My biggest dream is to become Chief Executive of either Southside Partnership or a similar organisation!"
Jason Alder, Ambassador

"I have lived in Brixton for six years and before that I lived in services on Coldharbour Lane and Lambert Road. I really enjoy being involved with Southside Partnership and my favourite thing is being part of interview panels. I also had fun helping to host the King's & Queen's night at Jamm in Brixton. Now I am an Ambassador I am responsible for representing Southside and getting involved in meetings and functions that happen outside which keeps me very busy. "
"I get on really well with my Support Worker Taffy and she has helped me to save up for six months. Now I have enough money for my summer holiday to the Isle of White."
"My dream is to become a Director of a Learning Disability Charity."
Sandra Joseph, Ambassador

"I began my time with Southside Partnership as a customer at Fanon Resource Centre in Lambeth. I took the opportunity to go on lots of courses including Food Hygiene which helped to build up my confidence. I now attend a mainstream college and am learning British Sign Language (BSL). As an Ambassador for Southside I enjoy being able to inform people of their choices and to encourage other customers that there is hope. Most importantly I like being able to give something back as without the help from Southside and the Resource Centre this wouldn't have been possible."
"My dream is to help children with Mental Health issues in their recovery to give them confidence and to help them feel worthwhile."
Harry Sarkodie, Ambassador

"My time at Southside began as a Receptionist at Fanon Resource Centre. Through my time there I heard about the Ambassador programme so applied and was successful. As an Ambassador for Southside I really enjoy getting out and visiting all the services and spending time with customers and managers. This role keeps me busy and I am really enjoying the experience and learning how to help people with Mental Health issues through attending lots of meetings and events."
"I am currently living in Supported Accommodation but by the end of 2009 I will be moving on to independent living in my own flat in South London."
"My dream is to work with 18 to 25 year olds within the Mental Health field."
