Steve Maingot, Chair of the Board
Steve joined the Board in April 2001. He also previously Chaired the Human Resources Committee.
Outside of Southside Steve is a Company Director and runs his own Informatics Consultancy Services Practice. Steve is currently a trustee for one other charity in the health field and Director of a Caribbean trading company. He has extensive experience in the health service, education and voluntary sector. This includes Board level responsibility for information services and community health commissioning across all health sectors. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception.
Lucinda Craig
Lucinda is a market research consultant working in the commercial and social/not for profit fields, and a specialist in stakeholder reviews and ensuring that all voices are heard. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception and a member of Support for Living's Board.
Patricia Connell-Julien
Patricia was appointed to the Board in September 2006, and has been a member of the Fanon Sub-Committee.
Patricia has a Social Science background and is currently employed as a Researcher for a leading London University. Patricia specialises in Health Care Research, with interests in Criminology and Gender and Ethnic Relations. Her previous employment was in Management in the Banking Sector, and in Health and Social Services. Patricia is a Board Member of an NHS Trust, and previously served on the Board of a London Housing Association. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception.
Yasmin Miller, Treasurer
Yasmin joined the Board in July 2006 and is also Treasurer and Chair the Finance and IT Committee.
Outside Southside Yasmin currently works for the Learning and Skills Council and was formerly an accountant, specialising in corporate tax. Yasmin has spent time developing and delivering mental health awareness training and, where possible, still actively campaigns for the elimination of stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception.
Caroline Pillay
Caroline joined the Board in April 2010. She has a varied professional career encompassing Health, Social Care and Housing. A qualified Social Worker and specialist Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse Caroline has worked in the Social Housing sector for over 16 years most recently in procurement of large scale capital housing projects on behalf of local authorities.
Prior to her current position of Managing Director of her own Management Consultancy company Caroline worked with a large International Management and Construction Consultancy in the position of Associate Director. Her primary role was to lead and advise local authorities on the technical aspects of the procurement of large scale and housing PFI contracts. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception.
George Venus
Parent of a son with a profound learning disability, George has extensive senior management experience in finance and IT. A Royal Mencap trustee and chair of Mencap's Ealing group. A Board member of several other local disability organisations and campaigning groups. Also a member of the Certitude Support Board since its conception and Support for Living's Board.
