Applicants are not required to have an NVQ 3 in health & Social Care to apply for the position, however if an applicant has NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care this will increase the salary a person would receive for the position if successful.
You will support people with complex needs who require help with all aspects of daily living including personal care, domestic tasks and accessing the wider community. This will involve manual handling and supporting people in using wheelchairs both within their home and out in the community. You will be required to be able to positively promote interaction and engagement with people who have a limited vocabulary or do not use words to communicate. To be creative and organized when supporting individuals to identify and plan how they would like to achieve their lives goals and dreams with an emphasise on developing independent living skills, new and meaningful relationships, engagement and contribution to their local community. You will have the confidence to manage the challenges this will sometimes create
