Travel Buddy
Travel Buddy is our travel support programme. It aims to increase the numbers of people with learning disabilities travelling more independently, on bus and tube, in their own community.
People with learning disabilities can also become buddies, so helping other service users to achieve greater independence through public transport travel. We are planning to expand our Travel Buddy service and offer it to people with mental health issues as well, and also to expand into more of our service areas.
Currently we have four people with learning disabilities working as travel buddies.
